Unlock Anzac

Unlock Anzac is an initiative created for Metro Tunnel. The initiative was created in response to COVID-19, aiming to revitalise the surrounding precinct of the new Anzac Station and encourage the community to re-engage with the area while feeling safe.

Metro Tunnel

Collaborating in a team of four, Unlock Anzac employs innovative installations that unlock the local culture of Anzac precinct to assist with safe navigation and vibrant revitalisation. To ensure that the initiative can adapt to restriction changes, Studio Harp (my team), created three stages to gradually transition from a virtual to an on-site experience. Stage one is solely virtual, consisting of a website and mobile app. Stage two begins the transition into an on-site experience, featuring a mini publication that is a guide to the Anzac precinct. Stage three promotes the on-site experience with the installation as the main feature.

A Guide to Unlock Anzac

The purpose of the guide provides information about experiences in the precinct as well as ideas for engagement. Each navy page also contains at least one sticker that the user can peel off and use to help unlock Anzac. The A5 sized guide provides readers with essential information on local experiences. It contains coloured tabs on the side, dividing it into the five experiences. The icons and the type on the side tabs have a spot UV applied to allow the experiences to stand out. The title page for each section features a map, showing the local attractions and businesses in the Anzac precinct in each sector. These locations highlighted will also be the locations presented within the guide. The numbers on the location pointers on the maps signify the page number where the user can find the described experience within the guide. I designed the publication, however, the branding, photographs and the base maps were created by other group members. I edited the photographs to suit the publication and edited the map to make it 3D and added the locations as well as illustrations.
